Our Values & Principles

At Unomundi, our values and principles guide every decision we make. They shape how we design safe and meaningful experiences for children, how we work together as a team, and how we earn the trust of families, schools, and partners. They reflect the kind of company we are building and the standards we hold ourselves to as we grow.

1. Safety & Care

The Safety of Children is Inviolable.

Children’s well-being always comes first. We never trade safety, privacy, or dignity for engagement, growth, or profit. This principle overrides all others.

We design every interaction deliberately, especially our technology and AI systems. Our experiences are built to be age-appropriate, emotionally safe, and carefully considered.

2. Curiosity & Wonder

We believe curiosity is how children learn and grow. We design experiences that invite exploration, celebrate discovery, and encourage questions without judgment.

We embrace the joy of learning, even when it’s messy or challenging. By nurturing curiosity and wonder, we help children develop a lifelong interest in the world and the people in it.

3. Integrity & Transparency

Trust matters, especially when children are involved. We operate in reality, not optics, and communicate with honesty and clarity.

We share what is true, whether it concerns progress, challenges, or mistakes, because trust is built through visibility. We give credit where it is due and never claim what is not ours.

We act with conviction and self-respect while remaining open and humble. We do not reward manipulation, bullying, or bad-faith behaviour. When something is broken, we fix it.

4. Candour & Growth

We believe honest feedback is a form of care. We say the hard things with kindness and address issues directly, without blame or politics.

We learn from both success and failure. Growth comes from reflection, ownership, and the willingness to improve continuously.

5. Integrity & Transparency

We value different perspectives, backgrounds, and ways of thinking, and design experiences that reflect this diversity. We use power responsibly in storytelling, design, and representation. Through multiple levels of expert reviews, we ensure our curriculum honours every culture we engage with, avoids imposing our own worldview, minimise bias, and treats every child with dignity and fairness.

We respect cultures by actively working to identify and eliminate bias, including narrative defaults that assume one region's experience is universal. We partner with cultural experts to ensure every story is told with accuracy, nuance, and respect.

Respect also means respecting each other’s time, listening carefully, and working together toward shared goals. We unite around what connects us rather than what divides us.

6. Excellence & Agility

Unomundi is built as a serious, fast-moving startup. We believe in continuous progress and take ownership of the work we commit to.

We finish what we promise, use time intentionally, and do not leave problems or people hanging. We move with urgency, learn quickly, and raise the bar as we grow.
