Unomundi Cookie Policy
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Una's World Holding Limited ("Unomundi", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on unomundi.com and within the Unomundi app, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.
Because Unomundi is a service for children aged 6 to 12, we take a deliberately restrained approach to cookies and tracking: no advertising cookies, no third-party marketing pixels, and no behavioural profiling of children, in any part of our website or app.
2. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and SDK-based identifiers used within mobile apps. We use the term "cookies" in this policy to cover all of these where relevant.
3. The categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for unomundi.com and the App to function and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that keep you signed in as a Guardian, remember your cookie preferences, and protect against fraud and abuse. These are set automatically and do not require consent.
3.2 Functional cookies
These remember choices you've made (such as language or display preferences) to give you a more personalised experience. They are not used for advertising.
3.3 Analytics cookies
These help us understand how unomundi.com is used, so we can improve it — for example, which pages are visited and whether pages load correctly. Analytics on our public website (used by Guardians, not children within the App) are only set with your consent. We do not use analytics cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share this data with data brokers or advertisers.
3.4 What we do not use with children
• No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies
• No third-party social media tracking pixels
• No cross-site behavioural profiling
• No cookies of any kind that track a child's activity for advertising purposes
4. Your choices
When you first visit unomundi.com, you'll see a cookie banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences in detail. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer.
Rejecting non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using unomundi.com or the App, it only affects analytics and functional cookies.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how some websites function.
5. Cookies within the App
The Unomundi App itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Where the App uses functionally equivalent technology (such as local device storage to save an Explorer's progress), this is treated with the same restrictions described in Section 3 and is covered in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the cookies we use or in the law. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and where a change is significant, we'll let Guardians know via the App or by email.
